Power steering reservoir leaking.
Hey guys.
I know this is my first post but I am in need of info. Ok, last month my power steering sensor went bad and had it fixed. A day later the engine light is back and the A/C is not cold, so I take it back and they said the sensor was loose.....no charge. Two days after that I start hearing a loud squeal when I hit the gas. I looked and saw fluid leaking onto a belt. Now the dealer says the power steering reservoir is cracked(he says the PTs run hot and the heat makes the plastic crack) and needs to be replaced..........For over $600 bucks!  My PT is an 04 GT Auto with around 39k on it. Since I'm a computer guy and not a car guy, I would love some opinions before I face the dealer.

The PT's and power steering never were a good combination. I believe in 01' the power steering pump was recalled and blah...
Take it to a local shop to see what they can do, may save you some $$$.
