My new PT has the odemter and the "distance to empty" in the metric system and not in miles. I looked in the manual for how to fix it. It says to just press and hold the left EVIC button. It will switch from "Metric" to "US". Well that didn't work. The display stayed the same. Has anyone had to fix this problem or know how to do it?
Thanks! Terri |

You have to press the button, it will give you a different menu each time you press the button.

Do you mean the button between the temp guage and the speedometer?

Page 237 and beyond of your manual will show in detail what EVIC button will do. At least in my 2006 book. Yes, it is the button between the Temp guage and the Speedometer.

Hooligan,
I do have the base model, the LX. When I push that button, this is the menu. *distance to empty (in KM) *compass/temperature (in centigrade) *elapsed time *average L/100 KM And then it goes back to "distance to empty". The manual does say to push that button and one of the menu options is Metric/US. But that doesn't come up. I wasn't sure if I needed to do something else or car running / not running. I guess I may have to take it back to the dealership. Thanks for all your help. |
