hmm im sure dupli-color makes a paint thats very close to the taupe color.... Id go to ur auto parts store n see...

Im thinking of doing the same to my engine bay. i actually went out today and got some supplies I think will work.

I got engine degreaser which I will apply first. I also got some touch up roller pen red paint. Will this work?? Lastly purchased some adhesion promoter. Hows this sound? Do I still need to sand even though I will put on adhesion promoter?

About the clear coat, how do you apply that? Is it just a spray? Will it be noticeable if it gets elsewhere?
