Default Engine light due to camshaft sensor...

This may have already been a topic of discussion but because I am at work and aren't able to read everything on the forum at this moment I thought I'd ask: What will happen to my car if the engine light keeps coming on due to camshaft sensor?

I brought car to Auto Zone and an employee determined w/ a hand held computer thing that the camshaft sensor was throwing a code. The Auto Zone employee told me my car was OK to drive that a sensor probably just came loose. The engine light stayed on for about 17 miles then went off. However, after driving 160 miles it came back on and the car did not want to go. It never died but kept stalling and it really scared me. I just now went past my warranty mileage so I am hoping not to have to face major auto repairs. If anyone can advise that would be great.

They are easy to replace.

Is there a sensor diagram of some sort?

Being the moron that I am I don't know much of anything about a car other than how to drive it, put air in the tires, change a flat and get the oil changed when the sticker on the windshield tells me to so I'm clueless as to where to look for the sensor.

It's on the driverside of the head. Actually, a Chilton manual would be of great benefit. Pick one up and it will show you exactly where it is.

That's it, piece of cake to get to. Easy to change just torque everything correctly.

If it goes...you don't. Replace it now before it does. THE END IS NEAR!
