From what I can see, these strips are flat, not "U-Shaped"...right?

I mean, they are going over the grille, not "around" it.

I always thought those were kinda round.

The chrome strips aren't exactly flat. The underlying black rubber with the adhesive in the middle is "U" shaped and the chrome overlay goes over both sides of the "U". The strip fits over the pointed edge of the plastic grill giving the impression of chrome on both the top and bottom of the grill slits.

The chrome upper grille came that way on the 2006 Limited. I did order the lower grille from www.raceandstreet.com, one of the first Maggie sold. It too will be moved to the 2008 Limited.

I saw them on eBay for $24.99 as the Buy it Now price, but the person was local and I messaged her asking if she'd sell it for $20. So I saved about $15 in all because I didn't get them shipped and stuff.

It really adds a different look to the PT.

Well I finally bit the bullet and ordered the grille kit and the belt line kit on Ebay. Hopefully I will receive it by this weekend (long weekend!) when the Weather is finally supposed to co-operate.
The company I work for has a suite at Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers) and the IS/IT dept. used it last night to watch the Tigers toast the Mariners.. but the last 3 innings were played in a cold rain!. We were nice and dry in the suite with a 'fridge full of beer and plenty of food...then we had to walk 4 blocks in the rain to get to our parking garage!...but i digress..
