Wondering.....Armrests?!

My 01' has only one armrest. There's one on the driver seat, nothing on the passenger seat. Was this the style back in 01' or was my passenger seat left out? It gets annoying when friends are using MY armrest and their always telling me to get one.

So...

1) Do you have armrests on both driver/passenger seats?

2) Where can I buy a single armrest? I've seen the big middle thing but I don't know if I want that. A single armrest would be awesome.

I believe starting in '02 both seats got arm rests. You could get the big one that will work for both seats on find a set of seats from an '02. Don't believe you can add a single arm rest to your existing seat. Oh yeah, I mailed your goody box yesterday.

The passenger armrest is available as a kit.
The part number and installation guide are posted at www.ptdiy.net
I wrote that guide many years ago.
No PT would have a passenger armrest if the Chrysler engineers hadn't asked to inspect my modified PT back in 2001. I used the armrest from the right-hand-drive export PTs to favricate a passenger armrest. The Chrysler engineers spent a lot of time inspecting my mod, just to see it become standard on 2002 & newer PTs.

Why wouldn't they put one there anyways?? It just doesn't look right w/o one!

Because of the Fold-Flat passenger seat mechanism.
The Chrysler engineers claimed it couldn't be done.
I proved them wrong, and they took my design for all PTs built for 2002 & newer.
