Not to be a pro at this, but looking at many of the other postings looking for wisdom for my problems, I have noticed alot of battery and factory plug issues with these mobiles. The posting above you had some electrical 'goofies' and they changed battery. Look around these postings...These posts are great resources. Although you find there are usually only certain respondants but many lookers, unfortunately.

By the way, they also say to check the battery terminals for looseness and corrosion. Sounds to me like it what your'e describing could be what I have mentioned, not to mislead you. Just a thought.

320 Crankshaft position sensor reference signal cannot be found while the engine is cranking.

Sounds like a problem with the Crankshaft sensor.

It's located on the back side of the engine just above the oil filter. If that's what you code is telling you, you can replace it yourself. The picture is from the Haynes Manual that covers the 2001-2003 cruiser. If yours is different on your 2002, Chrysler might have changed it or used a different one for some reason. Are you sure you aren't looking at the Camshaft Position sensor? That has two bolts holding it on and it's on the right side of the engine as you look from the front.

Personally, whenever I get a code for a sensor, I like to disconnect the battery to reset the computer. Sometimes these codes will get stuck in the computer and it'll keep running funky till you clear the computer. If it comes back, then take the money and effort to buy a new sensor. If I believed every code I got on my last car the first time, I would have been replacing stuff every other month.
