Thinking about buying a 2007 pt/ Need help!

Hey guys brand new to the forums wondering if you can give me a little help. I am 21 and am about ready buy my first car. I was looking around today at all the car lots nothing really caught my eye. I did run across a used 2007 pt with 16,000 miles for 11500. I am really just wanting to get your guys opinions on the pt car in general and if this is a good price. My parents bought a pt a few years ago and haven't had one single problem with it. I am really thinking about diving in but I do want to get a few other view points. Any replies will be appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum newtothegame Seeing that your folks have one, don't know what you might like to know about the PT. They still are a fun car to drive, but they suck on gas usage until they are broken in about 5k miles, then they aren't to bad.

But - don't buy it think you will get great gas mileage.

$11500 MIGHT be a good deal depending on what's on it. For reference, a SGT I was working with the other week ..... his wife bought an 07 with 20K miles for $10,500 ..... I believe it was a Touring with automatic ..... no turbo.

If you drive stick, you can probably get a brand spanking new base 08 model for under $14,000. I know my dealership last week had a black 08 for $12,500 brand new. Only thing is it didn't have AC. AC is like a $900 option on the base model. But the new ones will have that $2.99 gas for three years deal.

It is a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Edition/automatic.

Look on Cars.com there are many low mile 07s to be had. We found an 07 GT Convertible with 130 miles listed for 16,800! Of course we bought it!
