Where did you buy that kit?> How much. How do you install it? Does it come with instructions?

Personally I did not use a kit, nor did I have instructions.

I bought a momentary SPDT switch from radioshack, and I have all the rest of the wires and other necessary connectors.

I tapped into the yellow wire coming from the ignition switch wire bundle, inside the dash. I decided to use the switched positive 12v feed coming from the window switch assembly(tapped into that too) the one that also works for the rear windows, as the child-lock serves as a safety.

Ran the +12v feed from the window switch to one POLE on the switch, and wired the "yellow" tapped wire from the yellow wire from the ignition switch!

I am not much of a guide reader, and quite frankly if you are not above average with electronics and other electric wiring, I wouldn't suggest doing this.

I don't have a ton of real updated photos, but I can show you these:

Great pictures of the interior of my car!

and

Foglight LED's and Grille LED's

The paint for the center bezel is in its final drying cycle, so I should be able to put it in either today, or late today, and I will take a picture of my new switch.

DJmart, I have the same footwell lighting setup as you! Mine is red though. 2 days before this thread started my girlfriend mentioned how the Nissan Altima had a starter button on it and that it was really cool, so i told her I would try it on my car. I had just figured it out on the day this thread was posted! crazy coincidence. The button i have set up is a red pushbutton with a hidden switch under the dash to enable/disable it.

That is a clever place for it, I just put mine hidden and out of reach to passengers.

Question Re: start button..how do I do it?

If you still have to use the key, what would be the advantage of the "Start Button"? That's the way we used to start the big trucks bac in the day.
