The car seems to be running fine though, I have asked the garage to check it out, waiting for them to respond - any reason why it would come on but still run fine?

Thanks

Code 340 means no signal from the cam shaft is being recieved by the computer

Code 340 Means the Cam Shaft isn't sending a signal to the computer. It's probably either a bad cam shaft sensor or a loose wire leading to the sensor. I'm not sure as to why it would be running fine, unless the computer itself over rides the signal with some sort of generic signal to compensate for the error. Now, go hi-jack somebody elses thread....LOL =)

Geez o4 gt here with auto stick some mods fuel milage fair at 27.6 country highway 21.655 around town, but notice a drop of 1.2 mpg over 80 mph on the major highways.? My other car is a peterbuilt and drive both pretty much the same but the pete gets its best milage at 2150 rpm which is 84 mph.Drive like you have no brakes on the highways dont slow down... go around..Simply try a few times and change your driving habits start slow and brake slower and earlier and try never to come to a full stop if you dont have too.got nothin to lose but a few minutes a hour of driving.
My results are in on my latest cruz. 1750 mile ride in my gt to N.Carolina and back=28.331 mpg..at 73 on the dot.Wish i had a few more gears to get my rpms down..I,m learning my new toy, but we look so cool...lol

We miss our littleton home
I ran a large trucking company in denver for years and use my peterbuilt to haul my race boat.fuel consumption is always on my mind in the truck ...lol the boats fuel sucks but that's another matter and doesnt count here.but i find it awesome thats theres so much interest here about are little hot rods.My wife has agreed to build a rack and haul my gt with the boat as soon as i come up with a place for it as long as it doesnt cost a dime to have it aboard..... its more fun than our bike.
