As for the PT vs Civic. I've driven my daughter's '07 Civic. It's a nice ride. She gets 26/35 for mpg. Better than the PT for sure. The Civic is a nice people mover, but if you carry cargo at times you can't beat the PT for room.
The company is still American though!

But the company doesn't use American workers and there are a lot of American companies that do the same.

No, they do it in poor countries where they can rip off the production worker and make huge profits. So this is done on the backs of poor people.

I am pretty sure that the work is appreciated over there though...

Exactly. I don't see how you can support outsourcing. My American company car is made in Mexico and my American company customer service center is in India. At a certain point, you wonder where you're going to get your OWN job. NAFTA can blow me.

The only job that's stable anymore is the business of killing .... which is why I joined the Army. I hate most every day of work, but I know where my paycheck to support my family is coming from. So I might be bedridden (or couchridden) from pain on weekends, but at least I don't have to worry about keeping a roof over my kids' heads.

But then going back to the American made bumpersticker ...... It's on a big gas guzzling pickup. So is the message "Buy 12MPG American trucks, so you can support fat Sheiks in Saudi Arabia with terrorist kids?" Maybe people should think before they print bumper stickers. Carry the Trickle Down Economics one step past the consumer.

But screw the 2008 Honda Civic sedan because it's made in Japan ............... what? what's that you said? It's made in Ohio? But isn't Ohio in the UNITED STATES? Never mind then.
