I have driven my friends one several times. His is the coupe, but it is similar enough to the 4 door IMO (4 door is slower.) The dashboard is ridiculously huge... and the gauges will give you a headache after a bit. Performance is IDENTICAL, on several occasions I drag raced my friend from a standstill. I have never seen a race that I could so truly call neck and neck. Neither of us budged! The PT stands out more (looks better) and handles just as well (again from direct testing.) There are more parts to make a PT unique and thegas mileage is not that much lower. I say go PT. It seems like you're just BEGGING to find a car that beats it aren't you!? This is 3 posts now

No problem, sorry if I came off a bit harsh. It is a good car, but I just think you would be happier in a PT, and I don't know about you, but I would rather be happy and pay a bit more in gas than be unhappy in my car.

That's funny. PTs are made in Mexico.
![]() As for the PT vs Civic. I've driven my daughter's '07 Civic. It's a nice ride. She gets 26/35 for mpg. Better than the PT for sure. The Civic is a nice people mover, but if you carry cargo at times you can't beat the PT for room.

It feels like they have gone for the "sporty" feel for the interior. The seats are firmer than the PT with bigger bolsters, the overall ride was smooth and all, but my friends one was REALLY touchy and a lot of stuff went wrong with it. His wheels got thrown out of alignment on a normal speed bump and have never been able to be fixed. There is now constant road noise! He bought a BMW 335i coupe a while back, so it hasn't been driven in a bit, we just drove the Civic for the first time in a while... I still say PT.
