Drive axle (driver side) has a leak.
I'm thinking of replacing oil seal. Has anyone done this? I have a service manual and feel confident for this job but, need to know: How to pull Drive Axle since tripod joint is recessed into transmission housing and don't see how to use a pry bar or two to pop the joint out. I know the axle is held in by a spring or clip which needs to release shaft. Any help greatly appreciated since I can't pay a mechanic right now. tks |

Welcome to the forum.
Best thing for you to do if your going to take on jobs like this is to download a FREE copy of the cruiser repair manual. It should tell you everything you need to know. It's quite big (2051 pages in Adobe format) but well worth it if your going to keep your cruiser and do things yourself. It's a lot of reading but click on this link and rear away...
