Is it a fuse or wiring?

I have a 2003 Cruiser, and recently after returning from a short trip, I noticed that my headlights and power locks were not working. When I try pushing the lock button, I hear a clicking under the dash (which leads me to believe there isn't a fuse blown.) I checked all fuses, and didn't see any obviously blown.

Does anyone know of this issue? It only seems to have affected my headlights and my locks. Locks, not a big deal, but headlights a bit more. Can't drive near or after dark.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. You have an unusual situation. The door locks are controlled by the RKEM (Remote Keyless Entry Module) located in the middle of the dash behind the air vents but it has nothing to do with the headlights. Headlight and fog light problems usually turn out to be the multi-function switch on the steering column.

As far as the fuses go, on the inside fuse box both the #3 and #10 fuse say "RKE" so you might what to double check them and the number #19 is for the right headlight, #20 for the left.

Thanks...I'm open to others suggestions as well, but do you recommend this be looked at by my local repair guy, or should this be directed to a dealership/authorized service center?

I suppose you want the truth. I doubt that you'd find more than a handful of people on this forum that would ever recommend the dealer for service. If you have used your particular dealer before, and they seem to be up front and honest, then try then again, although the hourly rate is bound to be cheaper elsewhere.
