I will keep that in mind. Thank you. I am still curious as to how a GT would do against an HHR SS

Well, my little two cents...I doubt the GT would have a problem at all!

This may be kind of a dumb question, bing a PT nut like I am, but what numbers are the GTs putting out? I think I remember hearing 215 HP?

I couldn't tell if that was a serious comment or not...

I'm not sure either. My guess is a HHR SS would barely out run a stock PT GT.

Recently I did see a video from Winding Road (a web-zine) where they raced a Caliber SRT against the new HHR SS. The Caliber smokes it! Once the SRT hits second gear it's all over!

Great video here:

Just fast forward to about 00:50:00 seconds into the drag race video – it’s impressive!

1/2 way through the '05 build year on up the GT put out 230 hp. 215 hp was for the '03 GT only.

I love doing that with people on my long drive to work...Would hate to be pulled over doing it though! lol.

Got up to 112 in the PT right next to a Nissan Xterra, lol.

What always cracks me up is when people get behind me and pretend they want to 'race' until they pull up and realize I'm a mom... heheheheh.

I live in Alberta, and have seen enough people who "drive better than 90% of the people on the road" in the ditch, in various stages of duress during the winter because they thought they, too, knew their limits and their cars limits.

So, good luck with that public racing thing. I hope your justifications make you feel good when you/others are spread over several hundred yards of road. Yellow tarps over bodies/parts are kewl, after all.

Colour me unconvinced, unimpressed, and not lightened up at all.
