If you chill out a bit and stop being passive agressive, then most people will be more accepting of what you have to say.
It is apparent that you do not "understand" as you continue to do what he encouraged you not to.

Some of the people causing the accidents I witnessed actually said that they were excellent drivers while being interviewed by the cops. My observations didn't support their opinions of their own skill.

I frankly don't care if you like how I talk to you. You can always ignore me if straight talk is too upsetting.

It's hard to ignore a broken record, no matter how ridiculous and irritating the song is.

We don't care about your opinion anymore. This forum is supposed to be about sharing stories and getting help, not about uptight people trying to scare people into acting like them. If I was as uptight as you, I wouldn't have a car. Bad things happen. Do you wear a helmet when you walk? Bad things can happen. God forbid you let individuals be responsible for themselves. When I speed on a canadian street, then you can say something.
Bolding is mine.

You've made it clear that you care about your own fun, and screw the rules and everyone else on the road. I'm trying to help you realize that is a dangerous perspective.

Maybe next time you feel like racing you'll think of how much of a jerk I am and imagine me saying "I told you so" as the red and blues flash in your rear view mirror or someone swerves into your lane or you feel your tires breaking loose on some unexpected road hazard, and maybe you'll give more consideration to your actions and how they may affect others on the road you share with them.

There is a difference between understanding and choosing to listen to something. I make my choices based on what I feel. My friend says he is an excellent driver and has been in seven accidents, most of which are his fault. Unlike him, who I have witnessed is not a good driver, I am a good driver. I am always alert, I never cut people off or force other drivers. I can handle my car at speed in good conditions, and I don't speed in bad conditions. I always wear my seatbelt and won't drive unless all of my passengers are too. Need I continue?

That is called being disrespectful, and I would prefer not to ignore you as that is impolite. Straight talk is what I am proposing, but as far as I know, straight talk does not consist of insults and back-handed comments. If you would like to talk to me along these terms then I will be happy to oblige, but if not that is your choice and I will just end it there.

215hp for 2003 GT. I think 230 hp is for 2004 GT...i think 235 hp for 2005 GT....stock.

So, good luck with that public racing thing. I hope your justifications make you feel good when you/others are spread over several hundred yards of road. Yellow tarps over bodies/parts are kewl, after all.

Colour me unconvinced, unimpressed, and not lightened up at all.
Badger...I think we got it...I know I do. Thanks for the posts.

Threads like this make for such an entertaining read!

I admit to loving to open up my car every so often, however I try to be careful because I need to keep a clean driving record as I plan to get licensed for driving semi trucks and I want to in the future become a paramedic. I think I would have a better chance at becoming a paramedic if I haven't ever got busted driving the 183km/h my PT does wound out.

I thought I would post because of something I noticed on my car today. I was at a buddies place, and was checking out the car he just picked up, a nice clean SX 2.0. As I was sitting in his car I glanced over at mine and noticed the resonator directly behind the cat was hanging low. I walked over to my car, peeked underneath and saw the exhaust clamp had backed itself off. The pipe off the cat has a locating dowel in it and it mates with the resonator and holds the exhaust from twisting. With the dowel not in place the resonator was about two inches off the ground, and the whole exhaust system was tilted sideways and barely held in place. Now if any of my hangers would let go, it would be entirely possible that the resonator could slip off the pipe and hit the ground. The resonator would grab into the ground, not drag on top of it. Piping is strong, and it can very easily put the vehicle out of control. My brother had the same scenario happen when driving my parents Caravan, and it spun the van sideways when the pipe hooked the ground. Now do that at 100mph. The reason I bring this up is that I'm not doubting that there are good drivers here, it's that sometimes the unexpected can occur. I know that my car is in top shape. I am very confident about that. I was confident about that the whole day when driving my car until I spotted the hanging exhaust! I love driving fast, and sometimes do, and like the rest I've been lucky too. But sometimes it's not a bad thing to err on the side of caution.
