That was my mentality a year or so ago. Then I had a close call while driving to school. A big SUV (standard Issue loud music and massive rims) started drifting into my lane. Cars behind me and in front and solid trees on my left. He couldn't hear my honking because of his music. He missed me by 2 maybe 3 inches because I was lucky enough to swing into an upcoming turn lane just in time. We were all doing 50 in a 50 limit. I know exactly what you were saying about unexpected stuff happening, and my mentality has changed since then. Now i know it can happen to me, which is what keeps me alert, but I figure that if that is the case, I will try and have fun before I die in a car wreck and at least that way I will go out doing my hobby (which is not street racing or reckless driving, it is cruising)

UCF, which if anything is worse, because the traffic there is the worst (Orlando). The drivers there make me cringe. My girlfriend is going to UF

CREWZIN, you're right, and I apologize for getting upset. I just don't like getting lectured, or seeing someone else getting lectured, when that isn't the reason for his post. I was rude, and I shouldn't have been. But, we are all adults, and therefore have the ability to make our own decisions, and god forbid something horrible does happen, we have to live with those consequences. Again, sorry for acting like an a hole

They pretty much all do sound the same... UCF is the best of course...

Good thing you point that out or some people may have wished you got hit for speeding

air4cefamily,
We all have opinions and this forum is a vehicle to share them. I don't like to lecture and don't mean for my posts to berate, belittle or lecture anyone but I do share my opinion by stating the facts and pointing out the other side of the story.

I do have spirited confrontations with other drivers. I drive a Vette and I didn't add the performance enhancements to go slower and I didn't buy it just to show off. Being in the position with the Sheriff's office I see, almost every time I report for duty, the consequences of drivers who thought they were in control, but turns out they weren't.

Don't let any of this posting turn you off on stating your opinions. They are allowed as long as it doesn't get really personal. The trophy and light bulb stuff to me, was just funny. A little serious when someone thought they were being called an idiot, but that part didn't last long and didn't get worse from there.

Got up to 112 in the PT right next to a Nissan Xterra, lol.
That scares the HELL out of me! A PT going 112 MPH feels really solid (I know, I've done it) but an Xterra!..? Super crappy brakes, super crappy handling, off road suspension.....Yikes!

It's cool...we all get riled up from time to time. I'm just glad everyone is cooling down.

A PT at 120 is still SOLID! I was quite surprised.
