Default PT drivers seat

Hi, I am thinking of purchasing a PT Cruiser. Can someone tell me the comparison of comfort of drivers seat between the LX and the Touring with the height adjustment. How are the standard seats of the LX? I rented a vehicle with the height adjustment but have never driven one without. Thanks.

Susan,

Welcome to the forum. I've never driven anything but my Limited Edition with the height adjustment so can't recommend either one. Why not stop by a Chrysler dealer who should have plenty of different models available and try them out before buying. Try the cloth seats and the leather ones with and without the power adjustments.

I am 6'6" and I fit perfectly fine in my Limited PT. Enough leg room, and head room is plentiful.

Everyone is always like "How do you fit in that thing" My answer always is: It's a PT!

Bet you don't have a sunroof. I'm only 6', and with power seat at the lowest setting, roof tickles my hair.
Only complaint I've read is that some folks (myself included) wish the power seat would go down lower. If you're 6' or shorter, not an issue.

I DO have a sunroof in my PT, and I have the power seat and have the seat tilted so that I am comfortable.

Cool Re: PT drivers seat

Ditto what's been said about some posts on "not happy with how high the power seat is"!
Personally, I have both a Touring with cloth seat, not adjustable; and a GT Convertible with power seat. But, since I'm only 5'10", It's OK by me...a simple slide-in..perfect! (wife is barely 5') But, I do have to "duck" a little when viewing stop lights in the GT vert.

Susan,

I just bought an 08 LX. My personal recommendation is to stay away from the seats in the LX, and get the Touring model with the power seats which also seem to have a more padding on the seat bottoms. I find them to be more comfortable than the seats in my LX.

You may want to rent an LX from Thrifty or Budget and drive it around for at least a week to be really sure if you wish to save the $$ over the Touring model. The Touring does give you cruise control also if that is important to you.
