That blue one looks to have some decently-wide tires on it too (go check out the different drag racing classes that limit you to 10.5" or less in width if you think you need 15" wide tires to hook up). The thing I would be a bit leary of is the short wheelbase.
my camaro weighs less, even with me in it, but to do bigger tires in the rear would require tubbing right? there goes the rear seats, and yeah like you said, the wheel base is a huge concern cause it's a tiny car, the wheel base is super short compared to a mustang or camaro. it might flip, that yellow one is extended for traction most likely, that's why top fuel is extended so much

Im still looking for some one to want to do a roadster kit with a V8 but with the current economy thats probably never going to happen. The most radical cruiser in the world in my opinion VISUALLY belongs to Tatto artist Joe Dart of Sussex England and I know its in a shop outside of London having the chassi and rear end built right now.He has allready talked to an american sprint car engine builder about a 700 hp 402 so I cant wait to see what it goes like ,and knowing Joe HE will use every bit of it hes a speedway side car racer with what some might think is a death wish.I was lucky enough to have joe pick me up from Heathrow in his radical ride and even with the four banger in it he scared the cra out of me. Its a six inch roof shop two door panel with a chrome Pteazer full grill and wheelie bars. He was trying to make the big uk picknic in the park show but thats here and he didnt make it but when he does it will be interesting. good luck Joe,Ray Newton .

haha, well the four banger cruisers aren't that slow, on short distances I've beaten 6 banger mustangs, and on any distances i beat little riced out hondas, wheter it be a CRX, Civic, or Accord. they all get pounded by my little cruzzer. and mine's an auto NA too, so I can imagine how fun a turbo 5-speed is. probably might be as fun as my 305 5-speed camaro
