Default New Owner with Question

Hi, my wife and I just picked up a 2001 PT Cruiser today. It's a Limited Edition with all the bells and whistles! One question though, we noticed the black trim panels on the doors by the windows have what looks like stains - like someone let soap dry on them in the sun or something. Anyone know how to clean these? Thanks.

leftoverture, Welcome to the Forum. All of the PT's wind up with that kind of stain. Some cover them with the chrome covers from www.raceandstreet.com or there are a number of products on the market. I purchased Ultimate Paint Cleaner and Ultimate Paint Sealer from Perfect Auto Finish - Kevin Traver - Auto Detailing to clean and shine that area as well as the rest of the PT.
