BTW-No, it wasn't dark yet. I couldn't get the PT started a bit before 8:30ish. Plus I don't think I want to pay a fine or go to jail for public misconduct or indecency; heck, I don't even know what is called. I now have a house for that. I'm somewhat too old (25) for that man, yet I have tried that "the car won't start" trick with manual cars years before, but the pt is an automatic. Heck, I even used to leave them try to turn the car on, but with the clutch depressed.

Cool Re: Do these things run on 9V batteries?

Oh please! A 7 year old PT, bought used, old battery?????
I've got 2, two-year old PTs. Both with the original batteries. I run the CD player in soonercruiser at cars shows for hours on end. Never a problem starting; even in the Oklahoma summer heat.
**At the first hint of weakness, I will replace the OEM battery...probably with an Interstate.
I have owned 8 cylinders, 6 cylinder minivan, and now the 4 cylinder PT (had a 4 cyl Voyager years ago too). If I wanted all that power (and gas usage), I wouldn't have a 4 cylinder car! What did you expect? ...but, the turbo GT vert gets up and goesssssssssssssssss!!

Yup, my battery is about to go south, so I'll be replacing it this week.

Tell me about it. The battery on the PT is what I'm assuming what came in from the factory seven years ago. I think it said Mopar or Chrysler on the top of it as being the manufacturer. I'm getting a new one tomorrow after work because the PT died again at my gf's house. I ussually change the oil, spark plugs, and the air filter, when I get a new to me yet used car. I never expected to have to be the lucky one to have to buy a battery after two weeks of ownership.

You are right; it should be a Lithium-Ion battery right rechargable by the solar power cells in your sunroof.

Or at the very least the gel type that can be mounted sideways or even upside down
