Lightbulb Place your bets!

Okay, my flight is booked and i'll be heading out at 6:15 Tuesday the 23rd from Indianapolis to Atlanta. There, the dealer picks me up and then I drive back to Indianapolis with my new baby. Seems like most people say the ol PT gets pretty poor gas mileage - or at least not as good as you'd hope. That got me thinking, so here's the deal: place your bets on what my average MPG will be between Hiram, Georgia (zip code 30141) and Indianapolis, Indiana (zip code 46227). According to Yahoo Maps it'll be a 518.25 mile journey. I'll be driving a 2004 PTGT 5-speed with a body kit. Whoever is closest wins a chintzy truck-stop souvenir

Cool Re: Place your bets!

Since it's all uphill , I'll guess 23.8 for the whole trip.

Heh, I was going to say I thought it would be better then those numbers, but it just occurred to me that'll probably get stuck in Atlanta traffic. SO.... that's not gonna help.

I (thankfully) got 28MPG drafting trucks down the interstate, cruising at 60-65mph..... I'll stick with my 25, lol

Talking Re: Place your bets!

It is a turbo after all; and you will want to go fast!
(be sure to keep accurate calculations - actual gallons used, and actual mileage)

I'm gonna say that your gonna want to see how it runs and how the turbo feels so that and driving thru Atlanta will bring it down to about 22.
