Hi...stage 1 and K&N

Hi what will a stage 1 upgrade do to my car? What will a stage 1 chip do? What does a K+N filter box do? What does a sway bar achieve? Thanx I just don't know alot about this stuff? If I can only afford 1 thing should I take the K+N box or the Stage 1? How is the stage 1 installed? Do I have to send it to someone and who and where or does a dealer do it? How?

K&N CAI or Cold Air Intake is a replacement of the stock airbox. It will increase your car's horsepower by a little bit, but it will give you a growl when you step on the gas. I'm actually thinking about getting a K&N or AirRaid for my car.

Sway bar is more or less a Stabalizer bar...Anti-Roll bar. Mostly used to navigate through turns at speed and such.

Stage 1 you should have on your car hence it being a GT and not a Turbo Lite. I could be wrong on that one though. Good luck!

On the Stage One. Since yo have an 03 GT, what you get with the kit is four larger injectors (OEM 2004 came with the larger injectors ) and a reprogrammed computer.

The S1 has to be programmed for your computer so your VIN number is given to the dealer when ordering it. If you sell it, it has to be reprogrammed to the VIN of the new owner. S1 will give you (guessing) about 10-20 more HP over the stock GT. You should already be using premium gas. You can put it in yourself (not hard) or let the dealer install it. It DOESN'T void your warranty.

If the S1 is added to the turbo lite, you get the same upgrades as yours but the HP is raised to the normal GT level and you have to switch from regular to premium gas.

The K&N won't add any HP that you can feel but sounds great.

The sway bar or upper strut tower bar are for handling. The PT feels and handles better around turns.
