Yeah, similar plan to what I am doing... except the PT will be the daily driver and my project car will be the show baby...

Very true. It is going to take me quite a while to save up for the project car... $20,000 just for the initial buy. That's before the motor, transaxle, suspension and a bunch of other stuff!

Best thing for me was a nice fun to drive inexpensive car thats not too bad on the gas.

MSRP sticker for my 2008 Touring was $19,500. Got it for $15800 out the door including tax, title, registration, doc fees etc. Can't beat it! I bought it because my Dodge Ram Diesel 4x4 is just too dang expensive to use as a daily driver to/from work. I'll park it except when I pull my trailer or go off road, in the snow etc. PT's soo much easier to drive around town.

As my user name suggests, I like the older things, and a "vintage" look. The Cruiser has a decidedly vintage look reminiscent of the cars of the 30's and 40's, and that's why I like them. All of my cosmetic mods are to enhance this vintage look.

Hey Everyone,

Best thing about my PT? Has to be all the great people, and life long friends I have made, all because of the PT!

Congrats Bob. You've started a thread that has almost everybody joining in.

I love the PT (my PT) because it's different. It came out at a time when I needed a 4 door car (moved to FL and knew that we would have company/relatives coming to visit) and I fell in love with the styling and everything else that people have pointed out has come true for me.

The amount of modifications and after-market following has been outstanding along with enthusiasm from old and new owners, hopefully keeps it going for a long time.

There's still a lot of original owners around and I'm glad to be part of it.

Yup...that's how you do it. I am supposed to have two more years to pay it off, but by May 09, I plan to pay off the remaining balance! Yepperz!
