Default I must be getting old

Man I must be getting old or something. Since I lowered my PT I've been thinking about putting the factory springs and exhaust back on of course I had to go with 2.5 exhaust with a can style muffler which is loud. Normaly I wouldn't mind the ride or the loudness, but now I have my wife (which is a great thing) to think about. We took the PT on the honeymoon and wow thats all I can say about the ride. Anywho just figured I would vent or post my thoughts.

Much Respect.

Take Care.

If it is your car then make it how you want it. My wife and I have a deal. I do what I want to my car and she controls what is done to her car. Her car is stock and mine is highly modified.

Two things you can do to help.

Adding a resonator to the exhaust right behind the CAT will help a little in quieting it down and adding a full set of Tokico gas struts and shocks which are made for lowered cars will really help with the ride.

I did both, but it's spending a bunch of cash. If you/she is really unhappy, go back to the stock equipment.

Lets face it guys, if this is a family car and your in it a lot, there's nothing worse than a peaved off wife.

Truer word have never been spoken...LOL.

I can't do any fun stuff to our Cruiser, 'cause it's the Mrs and she won't let me touch it. She says that's what my car is for...I can do what ever I want to it, but hers is off limits.

Well we talked it over and she agreens with Mean Green as she has the Galant and I have the PT so I can due what ever I want as it's my car. The only thing I don't like is the faces and shreeks she makes going over bumps etc..., but she said she's like that as a passenger, didn't notice it before but ah well. Anywho I think I'll keep it low for right now, when I go to trade her in then I'll raise her back up. As for the exhaust I think I'm gonna go back to it being low sounding and not loud.

Crewzin you are right, that's why I decided to talk to her instead of going ahead and reduing everything, Plus I really don't feel like spending a lot of money right now.

Thanks all

Much Respect.

Take Care.

I thought about lowing mine, but the front already scrapes enough stuff as it is stock. My Explorer has been lowered for quite a while, but I just put it back up to stock height and took out the 3 12's and all my amps. Anymore, I don't care to modify anything - stock is just fine. I'm getting old...
