Welcome to the forum!

Dependable? Well, my 2003 is almost six years old now, abd I'm VERY happy with it. Yeah, I got a couple larger repair bills this year, for a $1800 total, but those were the first --- and so far, only! --- large bills I've had. My personal goal is to hit either 15 years or 150k miles.....

Dday27,

Welcome to the forum. If you fill in your profile we can tell where you live and might be able to hook yo up with a PT Cruiser club in your area.

There are certain things we tell people that picked up a used cruiser to look out for but with a new one the best thing to do is keep up with the maintenance and if you plan on keeping it for a few years, change the transaxle fluid more than the schedule tells you to.

Anything yo can think of, just drop by the forum and somebody will be glad to try and help you out.

Welcome Dday27, to the Forum. You need to get with SoonerCruiser who also is from OKC, near the Hefner reservoir. He has two 2006's, a stick and a convertible auto.

Hi Dday27,

I purchased a 2001 Touring Edition PT Cruiser back when you had to special order your PT and then wait six months for it to show up. I loved that car and it lasted me seven good years. The only reason I'm still not driving it, is because I totalled it (my fault) this past February.

After much consideration I ran out and bought me another one. I am now the proud owner of a 2008 Sunset Blvd PT Cruiser.

Take a look at the "What is the best thing about your PT" thread and see what folks have to say. Maybe that will help get rid of that buyers remorse.

I plan to have mine changed by the dealer right at the recommended intervals. They will fix it for free forever anyway
