Default Were are we going from here?

Apparently, there will be no new PT-Cruiser model years after this year. At least that is what I get from reading the forum here. I just got into the ball game late as this is what my wife wanted for years, and I finally got her one after she wrecked her car.

What are folks thinking as far as these cars are concerned. Do we abandon them and move on to something else? Do we drive them until they can no longer be economically repaired?

My wife and I just love the heck out of ours and can not believe that Chrysler would be so stupid to not want to carry it on. I was one who got an early VW years ago. When they stopped making the bug, many just kept chugging along and finally a new one, but different bug came out, and now the old ones are classics. Maybe that is what we should consider, I don’t know. What are all of you thinking?

I will run my PT until the dealer and many other mechanics say "Just get rid of it".

Wow, your wife had to wreck her car before you'd get her one?

Car models come and go. We've had three PTs and are now down to my wife's '04. We've been in the hot and heavy PT scene since '01 and while it's been fun it's really died off and there are a lot of nice cars out there now.

That's what I gonna do. I'm not putting a lot of mileage on my '03 so I'm hoping that it will last me a very, very, long time.

maybe? We should have a really huge pt rally and everybody chip in and buy the production tools and parts, then get all are after market companys to help out,ask the Govt for a immediate bailout to help finance it and build are own..PT CRUZER by the new Motown Motors.

ucantcme lives in wixom he can cruise on weekends around Warren or so and find us a old vacant plant to rent.Lord knows theres alot of work force there.

Just a thought
