Already searched the site & Googled the web.. the dealer said it was probably the fuel door?!? (It fits perfectly, nothing loose.) I thought about buying a billet fuel door and locking gas cap just to fix it, but don't want to spend the dough if it won't & don't particularly want a billet fuel door. My mechanic thought it might be the plastic wheel well flaps, when you get going fast enough to get wind up in there (60 - 70 mph), and sprayed weather proofing 3M gunk where the flaps overlap. No luck. I drive 3 hours on the turnpike every week to visit Mom in the nursing home and it's driving me nuts.
I swear I'm considering driving into a bridge abutment ![]() Thanks.

Wish we could hear the noise to help you out a bit more. Shocks/Struts okay?

As far as I know.. those weasels at the dealer would try and talk me into ALL new ones if even one was anywhere near needing replacement. And it only happens above 60 or 70mph, and only on the passenger side. It's a squeak-ity, rattle-y, click-ity noise that sonds like it's up in the quarter panel maybe, not under the car...
My blood pressure is skyrocketing just typing about it

A noise is certainly hard to find and even harder for us. We can give you guesses all day and never come close. Above 60-70 and on the passenger side narrows it down a bit but you might have to get it on a lift, the kind that lets the wheels run free, start the car and let someone underneath the car listen for it.

I found two sources in mine. One was the base model hubcaps, the ones with the "two stage nut removal". The cap nuts get a little loose and the assembly makes noises. The other was the rear sway bar links. No predictable behavior, but soaking the heck out of the four bushings with WD40 made it go away for days.
How's your jack and the door it hides behind? |
