Default Check Engine light

Need a little help on this?
I have a 2007 CDN PT Convertible! We purchased it Sept 1st 18,000. KLM and since then a check engine light picture has showed up under the P for park on the dash 5 times, the car runs great no missing or any ruff idle.
The salesman said not to worry as his Sebring does the same thing and as long as it dosen't start flashing it will go out in 72 Hrs?
What the heck is that?
I called the service Dept about a week ago and they, As the bill at no charge says. Scan PO4567 evap system small leak. Replace NVLD switch as best Guess. Code was already in a stored condition. When I started the car this morning the little engine was back over the P for park again. The service manager told us when he did the scan that if that wont work he dont know what is wrong. Chrysler dealer ??????
Has anyone had this problem and what is it.

Thx Guy,s

Since it throws the code PO4567 evap system small leak could it be the gas cap not sealing evap system right.....just a thought and about 10 bucks.

P0457 is Loose gas cap. It means that the PCM has seen the fuel level change significantly and the next time it ran the evaporative emissions test it detected a leak. The dealership needs to smoke test the system and see where it is leaking at. Too bad you are in Canada and I'm in Texas otherwise I'd make sure to fix it.

Next time you fuel up try Petro Canada mid-grade, drive for a week and light should go out. If I use co-op gas or shell gas, my engine light comes on.

That Check light must be one of the "Great Mysterys Of Life". On my 04GT it came on and off for a year, so a month ago I went to the draler and bought a new gas cap ($20+-) and that cured the problem. O wait, then a couple of days ago the light comes on again and then goes out the same day. What the heck.

I hope you all have your own little OBD II code readers. They are not expensive and you can buy them at most auto stores. First they give you a clue as to what the system is trying to tell you and next you will be armed a little when someone tries to tell you, you must do something when there really is no indication by the system that is the problem. I am not accusing mechanics and dealerships of anything, but this little device can give you a little piece of mind. It has saved me more than once. My truck was running poorly and I took it to a shop. The mechanic wanted $250.00 to fix it. Being an independent kind of guy I got the reader, looked up the code, found out it was the O2 sensor, replaced it for $35.00, saved $215.00, end of story.

Well???it's fixed HA HA
scan P0456 small leak detected.
Presurise system, Drop Tank, Block Vent no leak present.
Replace purge solenoid as NVLD switch was allready done
put tank back up erase codes.
Well that's a lot of work to get rid of the check engine light.
The Sercice Manager is still hoping this is the fix.
If it comes on again they will stay with it till it is fixed?
Thank God For warrenty for now.
Any other suggestions??
We had a 2000 PT sedan and had no trouble with the darn light.
What year did the trouble start
Thx Guy's
