Extra Keys and FOBS ?

Ok guys and gals, got a few questions. My cruiser only came with one key and one remote. How do I get a second or third key ? I know they are sentry keys with chips in them, but the dealership wants $100 to program a single key and $115 to program a single remote FOB. Thats nuts. I have the procedure to program keys and fobs, and its not too bad, so id be glad to try it myself, but, I read somewhere that in order to program an extra key, you have to have 2 original keys, and if ya dont have 2 original keys you have to get it programmed at the dealership ?

Anyone know about this ?

That's pretty much how it is. Did you buy your car from a dealer? If so I'd demand another key or at least a 50% discount.

Well I bought it from a smaller private used car dealer. It only came with one key.

I guess I can give them a call and see if they have one or had one... prolly wont do me any good tho.
