2001 pt cruise control problems
Hey guys. My pt has been acting up lately. Some times the cruise will work, then some times it wont. When it does not the cruise light stays on and if I try to set it it will go out after a few seconds to a min. Vacuum seems ok at the throttle body thing. What can I check next?

From the Haynes manual:
The system consists of the PCM, Vacuum servo, brake switch, control switches and vehicle speed sensor. Some features of the system require special testers and diagnostic procedures. checking: fuses, brake light voltage (voltage from the brake light switch deactivates the cruise control), Visually inspect the control cable between the servo and the throttle linkage for free movement, vehicle speed sensor (dealer tested).

I had the exact same problem. Unbolt the vacuum servo (it's on the rear passenger side of the engine bay), underneath there is a connector. Either it has come loose or it's corroded. Mine was loose, been working fine since. Hope this works
