Default APC cold air intake

Who knows anything about APC cold air intakes? I was blown away at the price being only $55, but I thought the quality would be shit. Is this true? Im looking for a good quality cold air intake for a somewhat reasonable price. I know K&N is pretty much the standard, but I'd rather not spend about $230 on an intake. Any ideas?

Most people on this site will tell you to do the air box mod and K&N drop in filter. From a performance standpoint and cost it's probably the best way to go. I have the K&N FIPK and I like it

As far as the APC goes, you probably get what you pay for! If you just want the look and are not overly concerned about performance, go for it.

Also noticed your PT is an '02. Not sure if it is different for NA engines.

No I just read how some of them could cause the check engine light to come on, which kind of turned me off to the idea.

You do notice that I have Airaid Intake system, this is the third one I have had that brand.
