Default How much might I get for my PT if I do sell it?

I'm on the fence about selling my PT to get a Jeep or a truck. Why you ask? I got a super duper deal on my PT when I bought it; $3,800. I had intentions of buyin a Grand Cherokee, and the thought has grown on me. Well, here are the specs on my car. I do love the car, but it wasn't what I was going to get when I took the opportunity and bought it.

2001 PT-Limited
Leather seats
Sunroof
Chrome wheels
10 CD Changer
I installed new tires when I got it
I also got a new battery; it left me stranded at the park.
Automatic
Disc brake up front, and drum in the rear
Fog lights
Power adjustable, up and down, driver's seat
It also has the normal wear and tear of a 7yr old car.
It's about to hit 123,000 miles

I've seen 01 and 02's in this area selling anywhere from $5999 to $8999. Most are in Auto Trader magazine and most don't tell the mileage.

Go on AutoTrader and look for comparable cars - that's the best bet.

You paid 3800$ so I'm giving you 3000$...

It's a very bad idea to tell the price you got the car for when it comes time to sell it.

Not that I'm telling you to fool someone or something...but maybe you had a spectacular deal that doesn't fit with the market price. Let the market decide; scan the web/newspapers for similar cars.

But now, even if the car worth it, it would be hard for me to give you more than what you paid for if I was a buyer...

I don't really need or have to sell the car. I drive it as my daily driver, and if I do sell it I would have to drive the Corvette to work. I'm giving you guys the price for a reference; and not to be paid less. I doubth you go to the dealer and pay them less than what they paid for the cars they have at the lots.

I checked autotrader just now, and within 300 miles of my home zip code, they retail for 5-7K, and they average about $5,800 for models similar to mine.

Here is the link.

Anything helps man. I was offered to swap it for a 1999 Grand Cherokee, but that jeep was way too bad for the condition of the PT, so I had to decline.
