Default Christmas lights on the Cruiser

want to put a wreath on the front grill (okay, everybody does that) but I want it to light up. very hard to find 12v lights so am going to use a regular string of lights and run an extension cord inside the car and plug it into my voltage inverter thing plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. 110 lights work on a 12 volt system! voila!

question: is there a hole in the firewall somewhere so that I can get that extension cord easily and safely into the cockpit?

I hope your not planning on driving your vehicle on city streets with the Christmas lights turned on. Their are very real laws on the books in every state that forbid lighting on non emergency authorized vehicles of anything except, usually amber and white. A few LEO's won't care but their are enough who will, if your lucky, just ask you to remove the lights before you move the vehicle to one who will arrest you and have your car towed.

Heh don't challenge cops I've had a few glances from them over the red lights in my car. But fortunately for me I can fight that easier.

That's funny actually. I was just telling my wife that I wanted to wrap a string of lights around my work PT for Xmas. As usual, she thinks my fun ideas are childish and rediculous. I said it would make the company logos reflect more, which would make me even more visible (safety) and in turn advertise more effectively (more business)....... she didn't buy that excuse!

You do as you like. Yes I see those stupid ground effect lights, blue, red, etc washer nozzles, blue led's in the headlights, etc.. As I said most LEO's won't take the time to mess with you but their is always that one that follows the letter of the law. I know, I was a volunteer at one time. I know officers that will write their own mother a speeding ticket, and have!

Hey grey:
Im not disagreeing with ya
I know several small town officers( ok so I know almost all of the ones in my town that would be all 6) and yep some are just jerks,, but a couple are pretty cool and I think at Christmas time some will cut you some slack--not all there is always gonna be that one
Me---- id do it just because I like to push things a bit but not everyone is as strange as i am

It's not the lighting of the wreath that will get you in trouble, it's the color of the lights. All white lights will be OK, small yellow or green should be OK but you start using red or blue and your sure to be stopped.
