Default Winding down sounds

When I pull in the garage and turn off our 2007 Cruiser there begin several "winding down" sounds. That's the best way I can describe them. One winds down, then another, then another. Nothing loud. Just what the heck is this?

I have no idea. Have found nothing that says it's a turbo. How would I know. Salesman never said and I'm not sure how to tell. Just as confused here.

well if it is a turbo, and the salesman didn't tell you or push the turbo thing,Id be way surprised------- plus I'm almost 100% it would say Turbo on the car some place,,,, well that and the inter cooler and turbo under the hood would give it away

so back to your original question there isn't much that "Winds Down" I do know what sound you are referring to but other than maybe the fuel pump and the engine itself there just isnt anything

Look under the hood at the four armed black or grey intake. Does it say TURBO? If it does not, it is a NA (Natural Aspirated).

Nope. No special wording there. I read somewhere about the sound of a Turbo Cruiser "spooling up". This kind of sounds like a "spooling down". Obviously I have NO mechanical know-how, but it gives the impression of discs slowly spinning down. One, then another, then another...about four to five and each a little quieter than the last. Is everyone thoroughly stumped now?

More than likely it's just your cooling fan winding down.

Cool Re: Winding down sounds

Agree with SLARTY...
Turbo and fans winding down when the engine is "hot".
(Sorry, but I can't believe that you don't know if you bought a Turbo)
