You've done all the basic stuff, so maybe you might have something. If I remember correctly, the 02 sensor puts out a voltage based upon the amount of 02 it senses. I wonder if it can also be damaged by bad fuel, or low octane?

If you do change the 02 sensor, please let us know how you make out, I'm sure there are going to be plenty of interested people out there.

Check your tire pressure. Low pressure can easily cost a MPG or two. I record all my fill-ups and overall I got 24 MPG on my '02 auto and over 25 on my '05 turbo lite. I can see on a fill-up when tires are low.

quicksilverdon
i agree 100% about the air pressure . this is my stepsons car
and i feel the car has a disease called heavy foot. he says no way
is it his foot. replaced the air filter -PVC-plugs-plug wires. i'll wait
a week and then run the MPGs.. if its not him or the new parts
then it has to be one of the oxygen sensers.

P.S. oxygen sensers are high dollar for this car unless theres something i don't know

junker, just a suggestion, why don't you swap him cars for a week or so, so you can get a "feel" for the mileage?
