You can try fuel injector cleaner, new spark plug wire set, pcv valve. You might want to try a few tankfulls of different brand of gas.
Just a few suggestions I can think of, also, how heavy is the foot that drives the car? Good luck! srg |

thanks for the ideas. i'am wondering that if a pcv valve doesn't work correctly, does it not just effect the oil by pulling the oil into the bypass hose thus messing up the air filter ? |

Your original post didn't mention anything about the air filter, and you didn't answer our questions!! I can't help you further.

Well, he did say he installed a new air filter.....
I would think if the pcv valve got stuck open, it would probably foul the air-breather filter sponge in the airbox, (which is something else you might want to replace if it's dirty) If the sponge had been removed, I guess it would oil foul the air filter... srg |

Just sounds like a 100% city driven with a possible heavy foot automatic PT.

Definitely performance wires if they haven't already been replaced, MOPAR or Crane, your choice!!! (Quote) Notice I didn't mention a heavy foot. We wanted to know IF the wires has been changed also.

i bought BWD select supermag wires and a PCV.
my gut tells me the MPG problem may be in the 65,000 mile oxygen senser. talking to other mechanics they all say that the senser gradually breaks down over the years with the miles. makes sense since it tells the pcm to go lean or rich any coments ------- later |
