Default spoilers

We are looking at an 08 Cruiser but I don't like the little spoiler, prefer the one that was available in the past years. Does anyone have any knowledge about swapping out the 2008 style spoiler and what all might be involved? Thanx for your help.

Its going to cost you as there is a section missing from the rear hatch under the spoiler.

Metal work will need to be done then custom fitting for a spoiler after patching up the original holes.

Its on my agenda but PT Bob even warned me about that.

Got the Spoiler Added Now

That is exactly what I was concerned about. Had several people say that it "shouldn't be a problem", but they did not seem very certain about this, besides they are trying to sell me the car. Anyone have anything about aftermarket spoilers that will fit on the 2008 model???

Cool Re: spoilers

Take it from a novice who did it himself; IT CAN BE DONE!

soonercruiser is a 2006 NA Touring that was convereted into the "Limited Edition" soonercruiser!
As a 2006 non-turbo, it came with that small lip spoiler, and I wanted something "special" for the soonercruiser. I took off the lip spoiler, and replaced it with a custom, "two-of-a-kind" aftermarket spoiler (I believe from the SpoilerMart; around $70). I personally cut open the spolier. molding an an LED light strip; and had a body shop do the painting, complete with O.U. Sooner logos.
**The only problem is...that the lip spoiler has a center-line peg, that fits into a small allignment hole in the body. That hole is your problem. The other person who did the only other existing LED PT spoiler in existence, had the body shop weld the hole shut...and repainted the rear hatch.
**I wanted no part of that...so I simply covered the hole (about 1 inch square) with a Chrysler logo medallion, set in place with 3M tape. A simple soultion that hasn't shown a problem in 2 years - and, I might add, looks great! I saw "covering the hole" as another customization challenge!
I will go back and provide a photo gallery link in a few minutes.
