Loudest Pt Cruiser..

Hi all..
I still haven't done anything to my lovely 01 pt cruiser..
i was planning to take off the muffler and put in home-made 4 inch pipe in to make it LOUD.. but found out it's illegal to take off the muffler..
i donno what to do.. i only want to spend less than $100..

what would YOU do to make your pt cruiser LOUD, but SMOOTH???

From a law enforcement point of view, taking it off OR making it LOUD can get you cited. It probably depends on what the particular laws are where you are.

4 cylinders (IMHO) don't sound that good loud but if you must, you can add an exhaust cutout that will really get you noticed.

you can get a nice flowmaster for under $100 and like cruzen said it wont sound like a chainsaw

Also keep in mind that if you remove the Catalytic Converter, your most likely not just violating a state law, but also a federal one. I know some 20 years ago I wanted an exhaust shop to replace a rusted out pipe. They wouldn't touch the car because someone had removed the Catalytic Converter before I got the car. They could put a new one on for several hundred dollars and then fix my other problem, but otherwise I was out of luck.

won't it make a boring noise like civic with air intake??
i love flowmasters tho.. when i get firebird, forsure imma get flowmasters
