Angry 2002 PT touring

This is the latest info on the city driven PT-- 14.8 MPG
new air filter, pvc, plugs, wires- air pressure check . [no codes ].no change in the MPG's . the old plugs were worn down to 75 to 81 thousands. i need some input on my theory of whats wrong. i feel the old plugs carboned up the oxygen sensers . why can't i carefully acid wash the two sensers ? i wonder if anyone has done this? the sensers are a high dollar item any ideas out there??

HEY CANDYMAN & CRUZIN how about some of your vast tech advice on this. it would be appreciated.

What did you gap the plugs at? It should be .040-042.
