Default 2001 Wont start. Freshly charged battery

It's been -20 here the past 2 days and I couldnt get my car to start. This happens every year when it gets this cold here. Last year I pulled the battery out and took it to get charged and it worked again. This year same deal, wouldnt start... pulled the battery, had it checked. It's 2 years old and works fine. Full charge... a bit warmer today (10-20) and it still wouldnt start. I really dont know much about cars aside from a few things I taught myself because I got sick of tossing away money on this thing. Any suggestions? Starter? Spark plugs?

I have over a half a tank of gas, tried adding heet and that didnt work either.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. If it doesn't even try to turn over and the battery is good, it could be that the starter or solenoid is frozen up. I take it you checked all the main fuses. If it's turning over and not starting, could be you gotten some water in the gas line and that's frozen.

it turns over but doesnt fire. I ran a bottle of heet through the gas tank as well. If it is a frozen fuel line what are my options? Should I pretty much expect to have to get it towed monday?

If that is your problem, and it's hard to exactly pinpoint it right now, and you need your PT for transportation now, then yes, you'll have to have it towed to a garage to find out exactly what's wrong.

If it's turning over slowly you may just need a jump from a fresh battery to get enough juice/power to turn it over fast enough to start.

I'd open the air intake and spray some starting fluid in - if that doesn't fire, then your problem is spark...
