Hello , sorry guys I am a newbie with a newbe question , I have a 2003 pt cruiser non-turbo, that ran great up untill a few days ago. it got very cold outside -20 and thats when the problem started. the car will turn over but slowly, charged the battery and also bought a new battery and still turns over slowly, checked the fuel lines at the fuel rail and it is pumping fuel , I changed the plugs(but not the wires) and still no start. also changed the oil , thinking maybe the oilwas just to cold and thick . nothing . it is shooting p0522 code which is oil sensor low voltage , Will this prevent the car from strarting ? any advice would be helpfull ,than you much

Welcome to the forum.
I did an extensive Internet search and came up with a few ideas....... New battery doesn't have enough CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) for the climate your in. (to check this, jump start your PT with a good cars battery. If it turns over quickly and starts the car, change the battery for a high CCA) Solenoid could be on it's last legs (try fixing this last if all else fails) Battery cables are corroded not letting all the amps get to the starter. (very well could be the problem). ...extra. Change to a different oil, say 5w30 or 0w30 if you haven't already done so. Good luck

NO, it has nothing to do with starting the car. If the oil (pressure) sensor itself goes bad, 2 things could happen. The (idiot) light on the dash will come on or it will continue to work (no light) and will leak oil all over the engine and the ground.
If the sensor is good and your light goes on, it means your oil pressure is low from a bad pump or your low on oil. P.S. You said you changed the plugs but not the wires. The original plug wires are notoriously a weak point in the ignition system. They cause all kinds of problems. If you still have the OEM wires on, change them to anything but new stock wires from the dealer. They can also cause a weak starting condition if low spark is getting to the plugs.
