Question Source for starter brush plate?

I need a new "brush plate" for the starter on my PT. The starter-rebuilder-guy (who my Dad has used for years and is really good!) said he's not finding any for that starter. Does anyone have a source? He says the rest of the starter is OK so I really don't want to buy a whole starter.

Well, after a lot of searching and calling it seems that replacement brush plates are not available for this starter so ordered a new one.

FYI, the starter guy said it was a Mitsubishi starter #M000T30672ZC and the plastic brush plate was worn out (or maybe he meant warped/broken?). He said starters with plastic brush plates have more problems than ones with metal plates. I noticed several threads with comments about replacing the starters several times. Maybe those people keep getting ones with plastic parts? Just a thought...

So, the one your ordered ....where did you find one with a metal plate rather than plastic and what brand is it or part number please, or did you just go with a new Mitsubishi starter?

I started to post the details, but my starter guy said lets wait and make sure it works perfectly before we point others to it. He uses these with lots of other cars for years but hasnt dealt with PT Cruisers before. It's supposed to be a match, but just want to make extra sure before recommending it here. I'll post back next week when it's installed.
