Phil,

Lowering springs. Look around for the best price (watch the lowering height, you don't want to go too low). Ebay usually has them but watch the shipping price, it could double the price of the springs, they are heavy.

Putting them on should be somewhere around $50-$80 and you can lower that by putting on the rears by yourself not too hard if you have the jacks and tools.

With any luck, you won't have to have it re-aligned. I got away with it for years. If you do, that will add the alignment price to the total bill.

All that other stuff is expensive,,,put a lot of dirt in the boot. It will look cool and keep you from going to fast. Andy

Hey CareyK,

How low are you planning on going? You can get a set of Springs for $150 - $200, and like Cruizin said, about an hour and a half, to two hours labor to install them.

Beyond that, its just a matter of if you want to go mild like Cruizin, or dropped to the ground like mine!

If you got any more questions, fire away, and Ill be happy to answer as always!

CUT UP THE SPRINGS!!!! take out about 1/2 a coil and it could equal about an inch so do it little bits at a time and start at the rear cause its easyest...for the front ur gunna have to rent a spring compresor or goto ur local shop and talk them into cutting the springs for you

Hey Guys,

Just one word of extra caution. If you are ever going to go, and cut the springs, never use any kind of heat or you will alter the strength of the springs which is not necessarily the safest of ideas. Also, if you are going to cut the springs, you would need to make sure you are dead on accurate as to not throw the geometry of the suspension off which could cause a wicked vibration, cause your ride to pull to one side, or the other, and cause a good amount of damage to your PT, so before you go, and cut up a set of springs, be extra sure you know what your doing!

That's my two cents! Be careful!
