Dashboard Lights Out

All the gauges, speedo, clock etc and lights on the dashboard went out on my daughters 2006 PT the other day. She took it to the dealer and they told her that it was going to cost 800 to fix this problem. That some NODE went out and needs to be replaced.

Anyone know of this problem with these vehicles?

What year is your "vehicle". Since you have a clock I take it that it is an 06-08?

P.S. The "vehicles" don't have a problem, just yours right now. Have you checked the fuses in the engine compartment?

The PT is an 06. The dealer told my daughter that it was a node that went up and will cost 500 for the part and 190 to install it.

Well, I found only one notation about a "node" for a PT Cruiser and it was a Cabin Node on a United Kingdom site. I did find 1 problem for a loss of dash lights and loss of led on the radio/clock on an earlier PT (they don't have a separate clock) and it turned out to be the wiring being pinched by the mechanism that lets the steering wheel adjust up and down. If you find out more about it, maybe you can pick up a used "node" from a junked 06-08 PT.

That is what it is. She is home and its on the workorder. Anyone have one for sale?
