2002 PT Cruiser $3,200...Good Deal?

Hey every, new here and up in Ontario. Well today I was in town and noticed the local Wholesaler had an '02 PT Cruiser out front, so I stopped in. It looks pretty decent, new tires, 5 Speed Manual, P/W, etc. The headlights are starting to fog up and the emblem for the trunk is missing. Then again, it's nothing major and it's my first car so no big deal.

They want $3,200 AS IS. It has 120,000kms (75,000 miles) Is this a good deal or...?

I know I should really have a look on Autotrader but was going back tomorrow for a test drive just wondering what I should look for? If it drives good, i'm taking it down to get it looked at by a mechanic first before I sign anything.

With 75K on the odometer, you want your mechanic to check out the steering, front bushings and front wheel bearings. You can check out the clutch and tranny on the ride over. He probably won't have it long enough to do a compression check. Keep in mind that we're telling everyone that about 90-100K the timing belt, water pump, serpentine and alternator belts should be changed and that could run somewhere around $800 - $1000 (U.S.) because it's a labor intensive job.

For about $35 you can buy a kit with 2 sandpapers and chemicals that can make the headlights like new - I got one for my son's '98 Sebring and it works great.
If oil was changed regularly, it should be fine.
