Talking Finally got one!

Hello everyone! I posted a few weeks back about buying my first cruiser. I finally got one today! I was looking for one with a manual tranny, but my highest priority was that I wanted one with LOW mileage.

I just happened to run across an 04 with 19,000 miles today. I do prefer the look of the older models so this one caught my attention right away. It is an automatic base model but I just couldn't pass up something with such low miles.

After my boyfriend did some haggling I drove it off the lot for $7,000 out the door. I think I got a great deal and I love it. I still can't believe I finally got one, it looks practically new inside and out. It is a reddish color that I have not found the name for yet and has AC CD player and tinted windows (other stuff that I have not discovered yet).

Thank you everyone for answering all of my questions about PTs from my first post!

Thanks, it is INFERNO RED! I just looked it up before I checked your post. I initially wanted a white one, but the more I look at it, the more I think it is the purdiest color in the world, LOL.

Hey guys thanks for the congrats! I just got in from poking around under the hood. My plug wires have the Chrysler symbol on them along with G.X. 2003. I take it this means these are the original plug wires? If they are the original plug wires it probably has the original plugs too. If this is the case, I will shop for some better ones today.

Also, I just got it from a Chrysler dealer. They probably got it as a trade in. Do you think they would have changed the oil when they got it? Do you know wheather the dealership uses synthetic? Probably stupid of me to ask that they are trying to save money huh?

The service department is closed today, or I would call and ask them.

Thanks Again Guys

Another quick question: Who carries the Crane and/or other wires recommended in some other posts? Are they carried by local stores or do they have to be ordered?

No, they wouldn't have used synthetic if they changed it. Chrysler does make a Synthetic and I was told it was called ATF+5 where the normal Dino oil is ATF+4.

Most of us went for Champion Double Platinum plugs #7440 or the newer #7570 gaped at .040in. The crane wires a lot of us used are from www.RaceandStreet.com under performance parts.
