i am looking to buy new headlights for my 2001 PT Cruiser and i ant to know if the Silverstar Ultra 9006SU-2 headlights will fit and work in the 2001 Cruiser. i have now silverstar 9006XS-ST but i want better. does anyone know if the ultras will work even though the XS plug is straight and the Ultras SU-2 plug is at a 90 degree angle?
These are the 9006XS-ST that i have now Amazon.com: Sylvania 9006XSST SilverStar BP High Performance Halogen Headlights, Pack of 2 Bulbs: Automotive These are the 9006SU-2 Ultras that i want to get Amazon.com: Sylvania 9006SU SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlights, Pack of 2 Bulbs: Automotive |

There's probably "just" enough room for the 90 degree plug to work but to be absolutely sure, why not get into the wheel well and take the cover off of the access panel and see for yourself. The bulbs themselves will work, it's the angle your worried about (I guess) so see what you think of the amount of room you have when the access panel is taken off.
If I remember correctly when I traded my stock headlight bulbs for the Sylvania Super Whites with the straight connection, it was tight getting in there so the 90 degree angle will make it even harder. My Super White fog lights were at a 90 degree angle but there is a lot more room to play around with with those.

i found a better way. I'm just gonna get HID headlights from the one website. just get a converter and ill have the brightest lights out on a PT cruiser with 8000k headlights and they use less power than your original headlights that came with the cruiser.
all found here... Xenon HID Headlights & HID bulbs - D2R Bulbs, D2S Bulbs, D1S bulbs |

My dad has a set of 6000K HIDs on his 2001 cruiser. Be aware you may have flickering problems and need a capacitor to fix the problem some kit's come with them... 8000K is not as bright as 6000K but if you are going for color more that brightness then go with the 8000K!!!
