Default Colors?

Does anyone have a list of all the colors Cruisers have come in? In particular, is there only one red? I've seen a metallic red with an orange hint to it. I prefer a more cranberry red, no orange and not pearl/metallic. Was/is there one?

Thanks!

Cookie,

Yes, there were/are 2 different reds. One cost an extra $300 when you first ordered or bought the PT.

If you go to your search engine and type "pt cruiser 2005 colors" it will come up with a number of different sites that will show you the colors for that year. When done, just type in a different year "pt cruiser 2004 colors" and you'll see the next set of sites that will give you the colors.

Onyx green

Plum
Taupe
Bright yellow (Route 66) - Solar Yellow I added the name solar
Steel blue
Pacific blue
Seamist green
Pastel Yellow 06-09
Magnesium - close to onyx green 06-09
Graphite Metallic - 04 ONLY
Midnight Blue 04-05
Lava Red - DC4 rag top color
Linen Gold(can only tell its different than almond is to park two next to each other) 04-05
Surf Blue 06-08
Opal pearl(violet purple) 06-08
Ocean Blue - PHC Edition
Marine Blue 06-08
SilverSteel - green tinted grey/silver 06-09
Deep Water Blue 06-09
Melbourne Green 06-09
Inferno red Crystal peral coat(2nd gen red paint name) 06-09

Two -Tone Cars 2004
All topped with black
Almond
Electric Blue
Inferno Red
Silver
DC3 Midnight Blue over silver
05 Linen Gold replaced almond for two tone.

All added colors with the year designation 06-09 means its on the second gen facia PT, not specific to a build year sorry I couldn't get that specific.
Exception: is the Ocean Blue which only appeared on the 06 PCH edition.

Hopefully that helps fill in the gaps.

Also there might be two black paint colors, so double check if you are a second gen PT don't just order the black paint double check the paint code.

And in the early days of the PT's the reds and blues were not that consistant in the first year, they were producing the PT so fast that the red PT's could be almost orange or a deep cherry red. My Patriot Blue has a very aqua undertone to it in the sun where I have seen others that almost black in the same light both are Patriot Blue though..

My personal thanks to veteran and novice crewbies that have offered information and how-to's they have been instrumental in taking LiquidPT from modded car to stock to live a more quiet and sedate life.

The RT 66 was actually Solar Yellow.
Black was replaced with Brilliant Black Pearl.
The '09 Dream Cruiser comes in Bright White with a Brilliant Black roof panel.

When I had my hood repainted on my 04GT the painter said that the Black had some red in it, and was not just pure black. I sure can't see it, BUT.

Not weird though, its to tone the color correctly..

The red was sorta like eggs in a cake batter, gotta add some fat to make it right..
