Phantom clunk
Has anybody here experienced a clunk emanating from the left rear? It is not the spare, jack or exhaust. The bushings in the rear appear to be good and have no visable signs of moving.
It will occur during medium braking with forward motion after having been in reverse and braked. I am thinking bushing but I dont see anything obvious. 2005 PT with 18K

Do you have rear disc brakes? Have you had any service done lately? Might be a loose caliper.

i have that noise while i go over bumps but not while braking.

If you are hearing the clunks while going over bumps, it's more than likely a punched shock.

The silver 03 GT is gone, but a Solstice has arrived. There are three more PT's to play with though  My personal thanks to veteran and novice crewbies that have offered information and how-to's they have been instrumental in taking LiquidPT from modded car to stock to live a more quiet and sedate life.
